Information Provision
Another one close to the top of our list. Since our inception we have sought to provide authentic and accurate information for those wishing to visit the area to enjoy outdoor activities. Initially this was through the seminal www.snowdonia-active.com but soon expanded to running internet cafes at UK Outdoor Shows, showcasing the website and the businesses from across the region. Latterly we have been working with local partners in the delivery of dedicated outdoor information through more mainstream tourism outlets and information centres.
www.snowdonia-active.com
Still the best and most up-to-date website for outdoor sector business listings and outdoor news from in and around Snowdonia.
Outdoor Activity Information Points
Pilot study into formalising information provision to outdoor enthusiasts through outdoor shops
With Funding from Tourism Partnership Mid Wales Snowdonia-Active established a one year pilot study into three Outdoor Activity Information Points based in Outdoor Shops and Outdoor Cafés around Snowdonia. The aim of this pilot was to formalise the information provision that has traditionally been available from those working in outdoor shops with good local knowledge of activities and services available locally.
